Which industry suffered because of colonial syndrome during british regime in india?

India was the jewel in the crown of the BritishEmpire. As well as spices, jewels and textiles, India had a huge population. Soldiering was an honourable tradition in India and the Britishcapitalised on this. They regimented India'smanpower as the backbone of their military power.
