Ashoka was a great ruler who became a great non-non violent king. He took his inspiration for Buddhism. The rules of Buddhism firstly speaks for non violence,which ashoka adopted after kalinga war . Equal rights to everyone in the society was also adopted by ashoka which is one of the main rule of Buddhism.
