It depends on what you are referring to.
If you are saying ion of same element then it is its anion.
Anion has more electrons then its neutral atom. although the nuclear charge is same the screening effect of anion is greater. the attraction between nucleus and outermost electron is weaker. and that's why the ionic charge of anion is greater than that of the neutral atom .
