Commerce with Mathematics is a better option because if you choose MATHS then you're open to multiple courses in future but if you don't then you can't go for some courses like ECO HONS. etc.

As far as admissions are concerned, every university has its own criteria and more so it's the same and for people who have Math its easy to get admissions in various colleges rather than people who have opted for different subject. For example: you want to study in HANSRAJ COLLEGE and you want to do B.Com from there then the cut off criteria for this is that if you have math along with all required subjects then you need less as compared to those who don't have math as their subject in class 12th.
