firstly both are unlike decimals...Unlike decimals are those decimals numbers of digits on the left side of the decimals are same or equal..else they are like decimals...
for example...0.112, 0.155, 1.133 are like decimals but 0.112 , 0.3 , and 1.12 are unlike decimals as the numbers of digit on the left side of the decimals are not same..
Why unlike decimals ?
Once you convert unlike decimals to like , you can easily compare them..
Unlike to like decimals...just put extra zero on the left of the number till number of digit on the left side of decimal become same...
for example...0.3 and 0.24 are unlike decimals as number of digits on the left side of decimals are not same...
0.3 -> number of digit on the left side decimal is 1 which is 3..
0.24 -> number of digit on the left side of decimal is 2 i.e, 2 and 4..
Target only those decimals which are less in digits..in our example..0.3 have less digits...we can write it also 0.30..
Now 0.24 and 0.30 are like..and you can compare both easily..as 0.30 > 0.24
Simillarly 0.1 and 0.11 are unlike decimals
we make first them as like decimals as 0.10 and 0.11
so 0.10 < 0.11
for example...0.112, 0.155, 1.133 are like decimals but 0.112 , 0.3 , and 1.12 are unlike decimals as the numbers of digit on the left side of the decimals are not same..
