(a) Here, the whole parts of both the numbers ar the same, so the tenth part of 0.4 is greater than the tenth part of 0.3.

This is why, 0.4 will be greater than that of 0.3.

Mathematically, 0.4 > 0.3.

(b) Here, the wole parts of both the numbers are equal, that is the same.

As one can see, the hundredth part of 0.07 is greater than that of 0.02.

So 0.07 is greater than 0.02. Mathematically, 0.07 > 0.02.
