which is more elastic?? .....r ubber or a steel...... explain with reason

the resistance to change, the greater is the elasticity of the material and the faster it comes back to its original shape or configuration when the deforming force is removed .For a given stress (stretching force per unit area)strain is much smaller insteel then in rubber and hence the answer.
