Aerobic and anaerobic respiration require oxygen

UtsavPlayz: it is wrong there is no requirement of oxygen in anaerobic respiration

Firstly, it can't be oxygen as it is only used in aerobic oxygen but not in anaerobic respiration.

The answer should be Glucose ( C6H12O6 ) as it is needed in both the cases to get broken down. If Glucose is not present hen there will be no respiration.

Hope it helps!
