The Given Balanced Equation is :

(NH₄)₂Cr₂O₇  ====> N₂ + 4H₂O + Cr₂O₃

One Mole of (NH₄)₂Cr₂O₇ weighs : (18 × 2) + 104 + 112 = 252 grams

One Mole of N₂ weighs : 28 Grams

From the Balanced Equation we can say that :

One Mole of (NH₄)₂Cr₂O₇ on Thermal Decomposition gives One Mole of N₂

⇒ 252 grams of (NH₄)₂Cr₂O₇ gives 28 grams of N₂

⇒ 63 grams of (NH₄)₂Cr₂O₇ gives (63 × 28)/252 grams of N₂

⇒ 63 grams of (NH₄)₂Cr₂O₇ gives 7 grams of N₂

We know that : At STP 28 grams of N₂ occupies a volume of 22.7 liters

⇒ 7 grams of N₂ Occupies (7 × 22.7)/28 liters

⇒ 7 grams of N₂ Occupies 5.675 liters

⇒ 63 grams of (NH₄)₂Cr₂O₇ gives 5.675 liters of N₂

Option (1) is the Answer

isaacr7: is it 22.4 or 22.7 litres
Grimmjow: both can be used. .
