Explanation: Assam Engineering College (AEC) and Jorhat Engineering College (JEC) and Jorhat Institute Of Science and Technology (JIST) are undoubtedly the best govt funded colleges in Assam that stay in top for engineering. While there are also other private colleges like Dibrugarh University (DUIET) and Tezpur University providing great atmosphere and also placements opportunities. It's upto your personal choice. CSE from AEC and JEC would better. But you might have to take on higher studies because there aren't very nice campus placment opportunities as B.tech under Assam board. While NIT silchar and IIT guwahti are on the national level and hence provide excellent placements. CSE high packages depends upon the luck of the batch and also academic scores of individuals.
