. Pedogenic processes act to create as well as destroy the order within the soil.

. It plays a very important part in soil science.

Edaphology:

. It shows the influence of the soil on living beings, especially plants.

. It determines the use of land by humans to grow plants.

. There are 2 subfields in Edaphology:

        Agriculture soil science

        Environmental soil science

. Its also known as the study of soil about soil-dependent uses.
