Polar bears, yaks, mountain goats, snowy owls, and arctic foxes are some of the fur bearing animals found in the tundra region.

Polar bears are the iconic species of the habitant. Their range primarily lies within the Arctic Circle including the Arctic Ocean and its surrounding areas. Yaks are basically found in the mountainous region of southern Central Asia, through to the Tibetan Plateau and into Mongolia and Russia. Mountain goats are mainly found in North America. Snowy owls are native to the tundra eco regions of Eurasia and North America. Artic fox is the common animal found in almost all tundra region.
