Given : graph of the linear inequality 2x – 3y < 12

To Find :  Choose correct option

Solution:

2x – 3y < 12

2x - 3y = 12

3y = 2x - 12

=> y = 2x/3 - 4

slope = 2/3

+ve slope

2x - 3y = 12

x = 0  => y = - 4

x = 3  =>  y = - 2

2x – 3y < 12

( 0 , 0) => 0 < 12

Hence origin lies on left side of   2x – 3y = 12

On a coordinate plane, a solid straight line has a positive slope and goes through (0, -4) and (3,-2). Everything to the left of the line is shaded.
