The number will divide 729 without remainder.

Also, it will divide 1170 without remainder.

The number is a factor of 729 and 1170

By prime factorization

729=9³=3⁶, 1170=10·117=(2·5)·(9·13)=2·3²·5·13

The HCF will be 3²(or 9).

VERIFICATION - DIVISIBLITY TEST OF 9

7+3+2=12=9+3 / Remainder of 3

1+1+7+4=9+4 / Remainder of 4

Therefore 9 is the greatest number.
