Heya
Diabetes mellitus is a condition where there will be high blood sugar levels in the body for a long time.
Hormone insulin, secreted from the pancreas, regulates the blood sugar level.
When the blood sugar level rises, insulin will be produced and assists the transport of glucose in the blood to the neighbouring cells.
If enough insulin isn't produced, the sugar levels rise and a person suffers with diabetes mellitus, commonly called diabetes.
Hope it helps!
