Hey Friend,
The answer is VENUS!!!
Even though Mercury is the closest planet to the sun, it is not the hottest planet.
The reason for Venus to be the hottest planet is Carbon dioxide!
We know that CO2 is a greenhouse gas, it traps the sun's energy and making the surface of the planet hot. Venus experiences green house effect. As the heat has no where to go... it makes the temperature of the planet even hotter. The average temperature of Venus is around 462 degrees all over the planet!
Hope it helps!

hey
Venus is the hottest planet even though Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun. The reason that Venus is hotter than Mercury is because it has an atmosphere made of carbon dioxide; it also has clouds of acid inside its atmosphere. This is called greenhouse effect.
