The aim of the experimental learning cycle is that it helps the participants in reflecting on the experiences and identifying a certain situation which includes future actions too and hence it could be improved through the use of knowledge.

Four of the stages include:

(1) learn through concrete experiences

(2) learn through relective observations

(3) learn through abstract conceptualization

(4) learn through active experimentation.
