Concave mirror is used in the headlights of vehicles as a reflector. Bulb is placed at the focus of concave mirror so the light rays coming from bulb are collected and after reflection we get a strong beam of light .
(ii) Convex mirror is used as rear view mirrors in vehicles , the other vehicles are always beyond the 2F of convex lens so we get a diminished and erect image of other vehicle on lens hence lens gives a larger field of view to us , and we can see more vehicles in lens .
Concave mirror are used in car headlamp. Concave mirror has converging power, it can concentrate the light ray at a particular point. And in night we want highly concentrated light beam for clear visibility. This is why concave mirror is used.
