strokes in almost everything more complex then chainsaws and similar small engines use oil injection, where the oil is stored in its own tank, and a small mechanical pump pushes the oil into the bearings and sprays it onto the piston for cylinder lubrication. There are engines where the oil pump simply supplies the oil to the carburetor, but this is older less common technology.
The ratio remains around 50:1, as with premixed fuel, but this system makes it much more user friendly. Usually the oil tank will last 2 or more tanks of fuel, and this eliminates carrying extra oil with you
