Edgar Degas was a realist than an impressionist in his way of painting .

Although he was considered as a member of core group of French  but he always stood apart in his approach to painting .

Degas was part of Impressionist groups.He hung out at the cafe with artists.

In the style of his painting he never adopted broken dots of colour ,painting of any light effect,or fondness for any kind of landscape won by Monet and any other impressionist.He was radical in his own way.
