Many less reactive don't do this reaction like as Gold , Silver , mercury , etc .

There are several metals that don't react with any form of water -
Copper (Cu)
Gold (Au)
Silver (Ag)
Platinum (Pt)
Mercury (Hg)

● Extra information -
- According to their specific reactivity, each metals react differently with water.

1) Sodium literally explodes on contact with water.
Na + H2O ---> NaOH + H2

2) When hot boiling water is poured over magnesium metal, magnesium hydroxide is formed.
Mg + H2O ---> Mg(OH)2 + H2

3) Iron reacts with steam only to give its hydroxide.
Fe + H2O ---> Fe(OH)3 + H2
