KCl is the valuable product. KCl can be separated from the NaCl by dissolving the ore in water, filtering off the insoluble clays and iron ore, heating the solution to saturate it and reducing the volume then cooling the resultant NaCl - KCl rich solution to precipitate the KCl leaving the NaCl in solution.
