Rajasthan has only the Legislative Assembly and not the Legislative Council. If a Legislative Council is to be established in Rajasthan, it is necessary that Article 169 has to be complied with, according to which if the assembly of the state by a majority of its full member number and two-thirds of the number of members present and voting, passes the resolution for the constitution of the Legislative Council and sends it to the Parliament for approval, then the Parliament can give the permission for establishment of Legislative Council of that state and may legislate in this regard.
