Chemical sedimentary minerals set by precipitation of minerals from h2O. Precipitation is when separated materials come from the water.
That is a natural way for chemical sedimentary crystals to form and the minerals are generally called evaporites.
Eg. Get a glass full of water and splash some amount of salt into it. The salt will melt into the water.
If you placed the water in a warm and dry place the water, but not the salt, will vanish away.
As the water evaporates, the combination of salt gets up and the water will ultimately become saturated and will not be capable of dissolving any more salt.
At this time, as the water remains to concentrate, the salt will come out of solution and will be precipitated in the glass.
