Purvachal range covers the ranges of Munipur, Mizoram mizo, Nagaland hills, Patkai and Barail ranges

Jaintia, Garo and Khasi are part of Shillong plateau and not the Purvanchal

Purvanchal or Eastern Hills are the range in the sub-mountains of Himalayas in the Northeast area of India near Myanmar. Many northeastern states like Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya and Mizoram lies under the range of Purvanchal Hills.
