Given:

  • 4 3 7=42
  • 6 3 8=91

To Find:

  • 5 3 9 = ?

Solution:

Following pattern is used in this series

First take

           4 3 7=42

  • First square all the numbers of the series.

        ⇒    7² = 49

         ⇒    4² = 16

         ⇒    3²  = 9

  • Now, subtract the both smaller number from the bigger one.

         ⇒   49 - 16 - 9 = 24

  • Now, reverse the resultant number digits

                 24 ⇒  42

In short,     7²- 4²- 3²  = 49-25 = 24

                       24 opposite 42

Now,

        ⇒      6 3 8=91

        ⇒      8²- 3² - 6²

        ⇒      64 - 9 - 36 =  19

                  19  ⇒ 91

On the similar way,

       ⇒       5 3 9 = ?

       ⇒       9²- 5²- 3²

       ⇒       81 - 25 - 9 = 47

       ⇒      47 opposite 74

Thus, the missing number is 74
