The livestock is consisted of animals that have adopted to eat and digest nutritious grasses, and the areas that can provide this for them are the grasslands. The grasslands come in multiple different types, be it by the type of grasses, or their height, but the thing that characterizes them all is that they are all found in drier climates. When we say drier, it doesn't mean arid like in the case with the deserts, but instead, climates where the biggest part of the year is relatively dry with low precipitation, but also has a short rainy season when big amounts of rain are falling.
