2,8,9,1 electronic configuration is wrong (option - c)

  • The K,L,M,N orbitals are filled by electrons in an element according to the atomic number of the element.
  • Octet means 8 electrons in an orbital implies a fully filled orbital.
  • More than 8 electrons cannot be filled in an orbital.
  • So 9 cannot be filled in orbital M.
  • It should have been 2,8,8,2.
