Which of the following elements would form acidic oxides?
(i) carbon, (ii) magnesium, (iii) sulphur, (iv) zinc, (v) iron. Give reasons for your choice .​

Magnesium, Zinc, Iron are metals. These are found in the left - hand side of the Periodic table. It is also known to us that metals form Basic oxides and non - metals form acidic oxides.

So, Here Carbon and Sulphur being gases as well as non - metals are found in the right side of the Periodic table. Hence, they will form Basic Oxides.
