Hi ,

***********************************************

If the Equation degree is 2 then it is

called quadratic equation.

***********************************************

1 ) x² + 2x + 11 = 0

degree = 2

Therefore it is a quadratic equation.

2 ) x² - 2x + 5 = x²

x² - 2x + 5 - x² = 0

-2x + 5 = 0

degree = 0

linear equation.

3 ) ( x + 2 )² = 2x²

x² + 4x + 4 = 2x²

x² - 2x² + 4x + 4 = 0

- x² + 4x + 4 = 0

degree = 2

Therefore , it is a quadratic equation.

( 1 ) and ( 2 ) are quadratic equations.

I hope this helps you.
