The Latitude- the insolation varies according to the Latitude, hence the temp.also varies accordingly.

The Altitude- the temperature generally decreases with increasing height which is termed as the Normal Lapse Rate where about 6.5°c per kilometre.

Distance from the Sea- places situated near the sea are usually moderating influence of the sea and land breeze where as the farther the landmass/landlock, the wind loose it's humidness which in turn leads to severity of temperature.
