K.S. Puttaswamy approached the supreme court to protect his right to privacy.

The case was filed in Supreme Court based on the privacy of Adhar Card project which has a data of personal information about people of India. In 2012 Puttaswamy filed a petition in supreme court and said that this project violets the right to privacy but government argued on whether right to privacy was guaranteed as a fundamental rights or not. But finally JS Khekar on his last working day as a Chief Justice he declared two judgments one is removing instant triple talaq in Muslim religion and right to privacy.
