The factors leading to speciation are :-

  • Geneflow :- It occurs between those population which are partly seperated not compeletely
  • Natural selection :- Those individual which are sooted to the environment survive and reproduce. This is called natural selection. It leads to survival of the fittest.
  • Genetic drift :- The random change in gene frequency occuring by chance irrespective it being beneficial or harmful to the population is called genetic drift it may occur due to natural calamities like earthquake or volcanic erruption.
  • Geographical Isolation :- Due to various barriers such as mountains, riviers, seas, etc there is no flow of genes between the seperated population over several generation leads to formation of new species.
