Amongst the following ‘asexual reproduction’ is not a source for genetic variation.

Asexual reproduction takes place within the same organism and hence there are no source to either mix the gene population whereas in the case of sexual reproduction there are 2 gametes that is the male and the female gametes that are produced from 2 different individuals thereby giving rise to a wide number of genetic mutations that take place in the ‘zygote’.
