(A) Multipurpose river project is not a water conservation method. This projects are made and used for irrigation, flood management, water supply in remote villages by making canals, etc.

These projects are not used for water conservation only. However, theoretically, multipurpose river projects can be used as resource of water conservation tank but in these cases different infrastructure has to be made for implementing the objective.
