A disproportionation reaction is a reaction in which a substance is simultaneously oxidized and reduced, giving two different products.

In the reaction, MnO

2 +4HCl⟶MnCl

2+Cl 2+2H 2 O,MnO 2

is reduced and HCl is oxidized. Hence, it is not an example of disproportionation reaction.
