colchicine is an alkaloid which is obtain from plant and is used in gout and cancer due to its property mitotic inhibition. as it prevent polymerization of tubulin protein so dna can't be separated

if it is preventing assemblage of tubulin protien this means that it is also inhibiting chromosomal replication as separation would not take place. it does not inhibit DNA replication but how it is preventing chromosomal replication

they have mentioned "CHROMOSOMAL REPLICATION " not "DNA REPLICATION
Dna replication will occur but the movement of replicated dna toword the poles by microtubules will not occur as tubules will not be formed
