Structural proteins are ones which is usually fibrous and stringy which are in abundance in nature. They primarily provide support for body parts. Examples of such proteins are keratin, collagen, and myosin.
Keratins which acts as a protective agent for skin, hair, quills, feathers,beaks and horns whereas Collagens and elastin acts as a support for connective tissues such as tendons and ligaments.
There are certain structural proteins which include the contractile proteins . These help in the contraction and movement of muscle. Myosin is one such example.
