Answer:

a) 4,10,16,22

d=a²-a

= 10-4

= 6

d= a³-a²

= 16-10

= 6

so it's an AP

a⁵= a+(n-1)d

= 4+(5-1)6

= 4+24

= 28

a⁶ = 4+(6-1)6

= 4+ 30

= 34

a⁷= 4+(7-1)6

= 4+36

= 40

a⁸= 4+(8-1)6

= 4+42

= 46

AP - 4,10,16,22,28,34,40,46

b) AP : -2,2,-2,2

d = a²-a

= 2-(-2)

= 2+2

= 4

d = a³-a²

= (-2)-2

= -2-2

= (-4)

Hence it's not an AP because comman difference is different .
