The boy was hardworking, honest and frank friendly and eager to learn. With evidence to the lesson we can say that Mrs. Ruffner wanted honesty and frankness as the boy exhibited this quality Mrs. Ruffner accepted him. He swept the recitation room three times dusted it four times and besides, he dusted the woodwork bench table four times we can tell that the boy was very hard working.

He thanked the captain of the vessel for his kindness we can judge he was very friendly by nature. Finally, the boy expressed that the lesson that he learnt in Mrs. Ruffner’s house were valuable to him as any education he would have got. This showed his eagerness to learn.
