They are not much connected to each other.
Hinduism shares much common terms with different Indian religions like Jainism, Buddhism, and Sikhism, etc.
Whereas Islam shares several common features with Abrahamic faith.
Other religions like Christianity, Judaism, etc. also have common characteristics with Abrahamic religion.
These religions are said to have descended from the Prophet Abraham.
