Given :- which of the following represents the highest value in a distribution ?

A. 9th decile

B. 3rd quartile

C. 5th decile

D. 88th percentile

Answer :-

→ 9th decile = 9 * 10 = 90%

→ 3rd quartile = 25 * 3 = 75%

→ 5th decile = 5 * 10 = 50%

→ 88th percentile = 88% .

so,

→ Arranging in ascending order we get = 50% < 75% < 88% < 90% .

or,

→ Arranging in ascending order = 5th decile < 3rd quartile < 88th percentile < 9th decile .

therefore, 9th decile represents the highest value in a distribution .
