(i) 6 : 21 = 10 : 21

Ans: True✔️

Explanation:

In LHS, taking 3 as the common factor, and simplifying it, we get,

2 : 7 \bf{[{\frac{6}{3}}=2,~~~{\frac{21}{3}}=7]}

Again in RHS, taking 5 as the common factor, and simplifying it, we get, 2 : 7 \bf{[{\frac{10}{5}}=2,~~~{\frac{35}{5}}=7]} which is equal to LHS

Hence, 6 : 21 = 10 : 35 is a true statement..

Question -:

i) 6 : 21 = 10 : 35.

Answer -:

To compare the ratios, we have to convert them in their simplest forms.

Like,

6 : 21 =

 \frac{6}{21}

10 : 35 =

 \frac{10}{35}

Now, we convert them in their simplest forms.

Converting 6 : 21 in its simplest form, we get -:

6 : 21 =  \frac{2}{7}

And converting 10 : 35, we get -:

10 : 35 =  \frac{2}{7}

Changing them into ratios, we see that 6 : 21 = 2 : 7 and 10 : 35 is also 2 : 7.

Thus, 6 : 21 = 10 : 35.

Hence, the above statement is correct. I tried keeping it simple.

Hope my answer helps you! :)
