Answer:
Z will displace because silver is placed lower in the activity series as compared to hydrogen
Z+HCl---ZCL+H
hydrogen gas which burns with a pop sound is liberated

Answer:
Reaction of silver with hydrochloric acid does not give hydrogen gas as silver is less reactive than hydrogen and have higher reduction potential, so it cannot displace hydrogen gas form HCl. As zinc is more reactive than hydrogen, so it can easily displace hydrogen gas from HCl.
