Martin Luther did not ban two sacraments namely Baptism and Lord's Supper.

The transformations brought by the Lutheran reformers changed almost all the aspects of the Christian religion. Among the seven sacraments of the medieval church, the Lutheran reformers accepted only two sacraments, baptism and the Lord's supper.

Following the footsteps of Martin Luther king, the Lutheran churches stressed the lifelong practice of baptism which would start as an infant and after that take the believer on the path of salvation. These churches also emphasized the regular acceptance of the body of the Christ and his blood for the absolution of the sins, for building up of faith and in the mystical act of the church's risen lord.

As per the Lutheran philosophy, the Church was responsible for the proper practice and administration of these life saving sacraments.
