Man had learnt the use of copper and stone tools. This period of using copper and stone tools is called Chalcolithic Period.
Later on,man learnt the art of mixing copper with tin or zinc to produce the alloy BRONZE.Bronze is harder and more ductile than copper and is therefore more suitable for the manufacture of tools and weapons.Because of importance of bronze during these periods the technique of using bronze as weapons was introduced.
