It's 1. RPL- routing protocol for low power and lossy networks

RPL serves as a routing protocol for LLN (Low power Lossy Network).  These are group of network which are restricted to both the routers and their interconnect. These works on battery power, memory and processing power. It provides support for point-to-point traffic. The network can be small or large depending on the need. RPL separates pacet processing and forwarding them from the routing optimization objective. RPL expects other mechanism to access and to control information.
