Answer:

1) element B is more electropositive , because it can easily give away the single electron present in it's outermost shell this is because,it's outermost shell is far away from the nucleus as compared to element A and thus experiences low forces of attraction from the nucleus

2)the size of the atom decreases as we go from left to right even along the same period,because,the nuclear charge increases as the atomic number increases (eventhough by a small no.)and the number of electrons also increases but however all the electrons are accomadated in only 3 orbitals(because the period is 3) thus increasing the forces of attraction between the nucleus and the electrons because the distance between them is small(it is the same for both Na and Cl , eventhough cl has more electrons). This in turn decreases the size of the atom when move from left to right across a period as the nucleus has a grater charge and tries to attract the electrons towards itself thus shrinking the size of the atom

Answer:

HEY  YOUR ANSWER IS HERE

sodium and potassium

and B is the more electropositive

Explanation:

Atomic number of sodium electric configuration is 2,8,1

Atomic number of potassium electric configuration is 2,8,8,1

the two element are sodium and potassium

These are electronic number in the valence shell

Because of this atomic no. electrolysis can happen , why which they can make the ionic and calovant bond

By this electric configuration the element can lose and gain the electrons. Depending upon the situation ,for example in the case of NaCl

sodium=2,8,1

sodium has 1 electron in its valence shell so it will loss the electron to stable the configuration (2,8) to form sodium ion.

chlorine=2,8,7

chlorine has 7 electron in its valence shell so it  gain the electron  to stable the configuration (2,8) to form chloride ion .

so sodium will give the electron to chloride ion and now it form

NaCl

The element which has more electrons in the valence shell so that element has more attraction of the forces between the elctron and that electron are know as  electropositive.

so potassium is the more electropositive
