Sita was adopted and raised by King of Mithila, Janak. She is also known as Janaki or Bhumija as it is said that King Janak found Sita while plowing his field, she was born from the Earth (Bhoomi). She is described as perfect and unique, the ideal daughter, the ideal wife and ideal mother. 
As described by Swami Vivekanand, Sita is unique and there can never be more than one Sita ever.
