Which one the following is the correct formula for calculating median of tabulated data when n is even?

 \frac{n}{2}

OR

 \frac{ \frac{n}{2} + ( \frac{n}{2} + 1)  }{2}
Please give verified answer...

When n is even,
median = mean \: of \: ( \frac{n}{2} )th \: term \: and \:  (\frac{n}{2}) + 1th \: term

n/2 and the cumulative frequency just greater than the answer of n/2 ,that number is your median
